Hello
I’m really bad at initiating conversations and socially a tad bit awkward. Pretty ironic since I was working as a journalist with a leading national daily in India.
I wanted to be a travel and features writer but economic compulsions steered me towards sports journalism. No it did not pay well, I only chose it so that I did not have to shift my base to the Maximum City.
Anyway, coming back to the topic at hand - why am I here.
I’m intrigued by history, architecture, food and to some extent people. And I’ve always wanted to pen down thoughts and experiences that I accumulate and encounter during my limited travels.
So here I am. Substack seems to be a quaint place so far. I’ll be honest I haven’t explored it a lot. I just jumped right into it. Very unlike me, but I think I’ll be okay.
Not sure who will end up reading all this, but if you have reached this point, thank you for your time. Do consider following or subscribing (no payment required) everything that I write is free for all to read, comment and share. Just give me credit if you do quote or reuse my thoughts. :)
Just to reiterate the posts on this page (not sure if I’m using the right term) will be related to history, architecture, food and sometimes people (mostly historical figures and maybe a few living ones). I’ll keep them short and add photos to break the monotony. Also try to post once a week, I’ll keep things simple and consistent.
Hope you join me on this journey and enjoy the posts! Thank you.
